Sofia’s interest in art originated by seeing her grandfather's paintings and drawings. Her interest grew over time by winning a contest in Brazil sponsored by a local bank to choose its calendar designs – she won five years in a row!

She was also drawn to the colorful, vibrant graffiti art scene of her home town of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, which has some influence in her work. Her love for art can be seen by the many tattoos she carries on her body. Working at a tattoo studio in Sydney, Australia was the catalyst that led her to concentrate on digital art. She was incredibly inspired by the artists who were creating stunning designs on Procreate. 

Sofia loves the art community in Benicia, especially the art classes, which led her to also experience different art mediums and styles. She is very excited to introduce her art to the local community and continue to evolve as an artist with new creations.
