​By day, Rebecca Boyd Anderson is a leader in health care focused on bringing health equity to the underserved and marginalized communities. To balance the emotional investment of her work, Rebecca finds joy in creating art. She began her artistic journey painting still life in pastels, then branched out to landscapes in oil. During COVID, she stumbled into an online course teaching portraits in colored pencils, and discovered the joy of this flexible medium. Colored pencils are easy to use and don't require special equipment or cleaning supplies... which gives Rebecca flexibility to bring her current projects to the office for short bursts of creative expression during stressful work days. She is delighted to share her work in this gallery and teach others how to work in color pencil, and she also accepts commissions
